Setting Up Eudora Light
Note: The Settings menu may automatically appear the first time running Eudora Light, however, if it does not, follow the instructions below.
Windows users:
Click on Tools then click on Options.
Macintosh Users:
Click on Special then click on Settings.
Click on the Getting Started icon (it is the first icon on the left).
Pop account : Enter your username (first part of your email address) followed by .pop.sunflower.com.
Real name: Enter your real name (this name will appear next to your email address when sending an email).
Return address: Enter your Sunflower Broadband email address.
Connection Method: Select Winsock (Network, PPP, SLIP).
Leave Offline unchecked.
Click on the Hosts icon.
POP account: your username followed by @pop.sunflower.com (should already be there).
SMTP: enter smtp.sunflower.com
Ph: Leave this blank.
Finger: Leave this blank.
Click on the Checking Mail icon.
Check for mail every ___ minutes: This is to set Eudora Light to check mail while on line. 15-20 minutes is usually adequate, or 0 minutes means that mail will be check only at your prompt.
Check Send on check.
Check Save password if you don't want to be prompted to enter your password every session.
Authentication style: Select Passwords.
