Configuring Mac OS 9 for Internet Use
Click the Apple icon on the taskbar, move the cursor over
Control Panels, and click TCP/IP.
Click Edit on the taskbar. Chose User Mode.
Set to 'Advanced' and click OK.
Back in the TCP/IP window, click the Options
button. TCP/IP should be set to Active and remove the checkmark in
Load only when needed. Click OK.
Again, in the TCP/IP window, select Ethernet
from the drop-down menu labeled Connect Via. Select
Using DHCP from the drop-down menu labeled Configure.
Close the window to save the settings.
