Configuring Mac OS 9 for Internet Use

Click the Apple icon on the taskbar, move the cursor over Control Panels, and click TCP/IP. choose TCP/IP from Control Panels submenu

Click Edit on the taskbar. Chose User Mode. Set to 'Advanced' and click OK. click Advanced radio button

Back in the TCP/IP window, click the Options button. TCP/IP should be set to Active and remove the checkmark in Load only when needed. Click OK. TCP/IP options, choose Active, uncheck Load only when needed

Again, in the TCP/IP window, select Ethernet from the drop-down menu labeled Connect Via. Select Using DHCP from the drop-down menu labeled Configure. configure using DHCP server

Close the window to save the settings.
