Teaching kids about E911
E911, or Enhanced 911, is a service that is provided by Sunflower Broadband Telephone service. Enhanced 911 delivers your telephone number, name and address to the emergency dispatchers when you call so that they know how to get to you even if you cannot tell them where you are. Even though all of this information is delivered to the 911 operator, it is important that your child know the following things:

The child should know and be able to verify your home address in the unlikely event that the address information is not delivered with the call.

The child should know how to dial E911 and understand that E911 is only to be used in the case of an emergency.
